FAQs

Q: How does it work?

A: Jolt Bar prevents the muscles from overheating by venting excess heat through the palms of your hands. This allows you to do perform more work before calling it quits.

Check out the ‘How It Works’ tab to learn more.

Q: How cold does the water need to be?

A: Jolt Bar is designed to work at temperatures less than 50°F (10°C), but the surface temperature will depend on the temperature of your environment. This means that if it’s really hot out, you may need to add some ice to keep your Jolt Bar cool. Otherwise, refrigerated or cold tap water should be enough to activate it!

Q: How do I know if it’s working?

A: When your body temperature is elevated, the palms of your hands become slightly red due to blood vessels at the surface. After using Jolt Bar, your palms should be pale for about 2-3 seconds before the color returns. If your palms remain pale for much longer than 3 seconds, it’s likely due to one of the following:

a) Jolt Bar is too cold

b) You are holding it too tightly

c) You are holding it for too long

Q: Jolt Bar is still blue, but it doesn’t feel cold!

A: Your hands may have simply adjusted to the temperature of the Jolt Bar after using it a few times. If it’s still blue and you can see the lightning bolts, it’s cool enough to use. Try putting it on the inside of your elbow if you don’t believe us!

Q: My Jolt Bar has completely faded to white. Now what?

A: Simply refill with cold water, and it will turn blue again, indicating it is ready to use! Head over to the ‘How to Use’ tab if it still doesn’t make sense.
